- Lords of the Fallen is coming to Game Pass.
- Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 will also arrive on the subscription alongside this Souls-like.
- Xbox will announce a release date for these titles soon.
Lords of the Fallen was one of the biggest Souls-likes last year, and it helped the genre flourish and gain mainstream attention. While it may not have been to everyone’s liking, there was a lot of ambition behind CI Games’ latest release.
Nearly one year later, the studio continues to benefit from this launch. Lords of the Fallen has secured the studio’s future thanks to record-breaking revenue. This theme continues in Q2 2024, with CI Games announcing a Game Pass deal for the Souls-like.
Why it matters: Between Lies of P and now Lords of the Fallen, Game Pass is turning into quite the valuable subscription for those fond of Souls-likes.
Rumors about a Game Pass launch began to show up last week after a reliable leaker reported on the story.
Several days later, a press release from CI Games confirms the report, stating that an agreement has been reached with Microsoft to bring this Souls-like to the subscription service.
As part of the agreement, the publisher is also bringing Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 to Game Pass, further extending the deal between these two gaming giants.
However, not much else has been revealed about the terms of the deal.
CI Games has likely received extensive funding as part of the contract. This should further contribute to its ambitious pipeline of games for the future, including a sequel to this Souls-like.
Lords of the Fallen should also see a major resurgence after arriving on the service, but the publisher has yet to confirm a release window. We expect the date to be made public once Xbox officially announces the addition through a blog post.
As always, Game Pass users can gain access to hundreds of additional games through the service, including the recently added Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which has gone through a resurgence of its own thanks to the subscription.
