Final Fantasy 16 Collector’s Edition Being Scalped For Up To $1000

Now Selling For 2x MSRP!

The Final Fantasy series has always been perceived well among the gaming community, and the developers have often produced high-quality content for consumers.

Final Fantasy 16 is the sixteenth main installment from Square Enix in the Final Fantasy series. The game is scheduled to launch on June 22, 2023, as a timed exclusive for the PlayStation 5.

Square Enix recently unveiled the Final Fantasy 16 Collector’s Edition, available for pre-order starting December 12, 2022. The limited edition deal rapidly drew many people’s attention due to its intriguing features and its hefty price tag of $349.99.

If the steep price of $349.99 was not enough, wait till you see what scalpers have been doing as they are selling the Final Fantasy 16 Collector’s Edition for almost twice its price.

The Final Fantasy 16 Collector’s Edition is completely sold out, but scalpers have taken advantage of the situation and are now offering absurdly high prices for it online.

Finding a deal on eBay that is just below or beyond $400 is difficult. The average price they are asking ranges between $500 and $700, which is aggravating because it is almost twice the MSRP.

Speaking of the Final Fantasy 16 Collector’s Edition, it includes several goods like the Blood Sword DLC, the Metal Eikon Pin Collection, and the Premium Statue – Phoenix vs. Ifrit.

Therefore, if you still want to get the Collector Edition of Final Fantasy 16, you would have to pay these exorbitant prices to the scalpers, or you could sign up for the waiting list on Square Enix’s website and be notified when more became available, but that might be difficult due to the current demand.

While this is frustrating, it sure is not surprising, as scalpers have taken advantage of such situations for a long time. Once the limited edition deal is sold out, the Scalpers get an opening to run their business at higher rates than MSRP.

Speaking of Final Fantasy 16, the anticipation for the game is at an all-time high. The title has recently become the best-selling PS5 game on Amazon after PlayStation disclosed roughly 25 minutes of gameplay in its recent State Of Play.

Additionally, Final Fantasy 16 has been given a mature M17+ rating by the ESRB, which is surprising considering that this would be the first game in the mainstream Final Fantasy series to obtain a rating higher than Teen. Therefore, we may anticipate that the game will be more gory and brutal than earlier mainline entries.

Moreover, the producer of Final Fantasy 16 has stated that the game will showcase the true potential of the PlayStation 5.

What do you think about the Final Fantasy 16 Collector’s Edition being scalped for almost twice its price? Are you going to be getting your hands on it anytime soon? Let us know in the comments section.
