Hogwarts Legacy’s release is quickly approaching. Less than a month from release, details on the game continue to be discovered, with a recent leak highlighting information on the total play-time of the game and more.
The game is also seeing commendable commercial success already. The upcoming release has already reached the top of Steam’s best-selling charts, and now Hogwarts Legacy has also become the best-selling PS5 game on Amazon.
The top three spots are occupied by three soon-to-be-released games, including the highly anticipated Dead Space remake. However, Hogwarts Legacy has surpassed even the classic horror game remake to reach the first spot.
Additionally, Hogwarts Legacy occupies two spots in the top 5 best-sellers. The Deluxe Edition is the most-sold version of the upcoming game, showing that players are interested in the bonus content in the more expensive edition.
However, Xbox users appear to be equally excited about Hogwarts Legacy. Despite PlayStation-exclusive content, the game’s Deluxe Edition is also the best-selling Xbox Series S|X game on Amazon, beating new games from established franchises like Call of Duty and FromSoftware’s phenomenal Elden Ring.
The Harry Potter franchise has been around for over two decades, and Hogwarts Legacy has shown that gaming audiences are enthusiastic about the IP. At this rate, it would not be surprising to see Hogwarts Legacy breaking records, selling millions of copies worldwide.
Hogwarts Legacy releases on February 10, and Deluxe Edition owners on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC can jump in 72 hours before everyone else. The game will be available across various platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, though the Nintendo Switch release will come later, on July 25.
