GTA 6 is set to make its grand debut in just a couple of months on PS5 and Xbox. The biggest gaming event of the decade completely skips a PC release at launch, just like its predecessor; however, the wait might not be too long

Take-Two’s CEO was recently asked about how they choose to launch games on certain platforms. He further added that, over time, PC is becoming more and more important to them, hinting GTA 6 port might land soon

Why it matters: There were rumors that we might not see GTA 6 on PC before 2028, but recently a report surfaced that the game’s online version, along with the PC port, could launch next year, which seems plausible now.

Take-Two boss says that the PC platform is becoming more and more important to them

In the recent Take-Two annual shareholders’ meeting, Strauss Zelnick was asked about the impact of PS5 Pro shortages. The question basically implied that the company might reach a much wider audience with a PC launch.

I would note that the PC platform is becoming more and more important to our company over time

The PC port is expected to launch next year, based on recent rumors

Zelnick said that the company’s strategy has always been to launch on platforms with a meaningful number of audience. However, they are okay with changing the strategy, as PC is becoming more important to them.

This makes it clear that console is the priority platform; however, PC is getting close, and this might hint at the PC port getting nearer. GTA 5 launched on PC after almost 19 months; we might not have to wait this long for GTA 6.
