PC Gamers Could Be In For A Huge Surprise!

Story Highlight
  • Sources indicate GTA 6 could launch on PC faster than anticipated.
  • Rockstar Games may consider a PC port sooner rather than later due to potential PS5 shortages.
  • The similarities between modern consoles and PCs also work in favor of a quicker release for the PC version.

GTA 6 is confirmed to be a console exclusive at launch, arriving on the PS5 and Xbox Series S|X on November 19. The game will target 4K 30FPS on these platforms, but fans can expect better performance once the PC release rolls around.

On the subject of PC, recent reports suggest Rockstar Games intends to push out this version of GTA 6 faster than it usually does.

Why it matters: Rockstar Games has a huge audience waiting for the game on PC, especially since 60FPS gameplay will not be available to the console crowd.

VGC journalist Andy Robinson recently discussed the possibility of GTA 6 arriving quicker on PC than expected. He noted that there’s been “a bit of noise” that the PC version could end up surprising people with how fast it actually arrives.

The VGC journalists pointed out that PS5 and PS5 Pro consoles may not necessarily be readily available once GTA 6 launches due to excess demand for the hardware. This could give Rockstar Games a reason to push out the PC version faster.

I do think they’ll push the PC version up. There’s been a bit of noise about that. Perhaps the PC version might arrive sooner just because of everything that’s going on.

GTA 6 Is Coming Very Soon

It’s also interesting to note that modern consoles are much more similar to PCs than Sony and Microsoft hardware used to be.

This could further lead to Rockstar Games considering a faster GTA 6 port for PC, something the hardcore crowd will likely appreciate, since the game seems to be a visual spectacle by every metric.
