Spider-Man: Brand New Day is now out in the wild, and the film has led to a surge in the popularity of Insomniac Games’ franchise. Because fans love these games so much, it’s no secret that Tom Holland himself has a lot of appreciation for the IP, with the latest film borrowing from the games.
Speaking of Tom Holland, the film star appears to be quite a big PlayStation fan. In a recent interview, he named The Last of Us Part 2 his favorite game.
Why it matters: Naughty Dog’s games are renowned for their story-telling, and The Last of Us Part 2 is no different in this regard.
When asked to name his favorite title in a quickfire interview, the Spider-Man: Brand New Day star immediately named Naughty Dog’s sequel from 2020.

The actor then confirmed that he had not watched HBO’s hit TV adaptation of the franchise. As per Tom Holland, this is because he loves the source material way too much.
In the same interview, the film star briefly touched upon his experience with Fortnite. Holland says that he is not great at Fortnite, so he doesn’t play the game much, despite Spider-Man’s popular role in the game.
As for The Last of Us Part 2, Naughty Dog’s title has already received plenty of acclaim from both fans and critics.
Despite its divisive nature, the game has been praised for its gripping narrative, so it doesn’t come as too huge a shock that the Spider-Man star loves the game so much. Interestingly, his co-star and partner Zendaya also appears to have quite a fondness for The Last of Us Part 2.
