Collector's Edition Orders Getting Canceled

The much anticipated Resident Evil 4 remake will be released on March 24th 2023 for consoles and windows. The fans are excited about the game, as Capcom said they would introduce modernized gameplay, a reimagined storyline, and vividly detailed graphics while keeping the essence of the original game.

Capcom also released new gameplay and confirmed that a particular demo would be coming soon. Moreover, Resident Evil 4 Remake will expand players’ choices. Yashurio Ampo said,

If something doesn’t go well for you, you can try a different approach.”

Fans have been so excited about the game, but a problem is happening. Gametop has reportedly canceled Resident Evil 4 Collector’s Edition pre-orders, as highlighted by some Twitter users.

Warrior64 on Twitter has noticed that on pre-ordering, you will receive a memo saying that the CE won’t arrive in stores and will not be fulfilled.

What about those who already pre-ordered? Well, a customer contacted GameSpot’s local store and was told that all the orders had been canceled across the board, which is concerning.

Another user has called customer support, which you can see in the tweet thread above. The customer support told him that stock is available online but might be limited.

This might concern the players looking forward to the collector’s edition, which offered the extra DLC pack with many different things.

This might create issues as the Collector’s Edition is exclusive to Gamespot in the US. Still, whether the pre-orders are canceled isn’t confirmed, so fans should take this information with a grain of salt and wait for official information from GameSpot. Those who are concerned can contact customer support directly.

The expectations of the game are high, and the game is keeping some of the old aspects, as Edvin Edso said to the PlayStation Blog:

“For those of you who played the original game, you might recognize some of the scenes.”

Aside from that, what do you think of the gameplay footage which was released a while ago? Are you excited about the game? Please share your thoughts with us in the comments section.
