PS5 Pro Sells Out At Major US Retailers Following GTA 6 Extended Look

Selling For $1,300 If You Find It in Stock!

Story Highlight
  • Following the much-anticipated GTA 6 look, PS5 Pro has become a hot seller in the US.
  • It is now out of stock at most retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and more.
  • In the rare instance it’s in stock, it is selling for an inflated $1,300, from its $900 MSRP.

Rockstar confirmed way before the extended look that GTA 6 plays best on the PlayStation 5. It debuted the first detailed look running entirely on the base console, and it looked amazing, and people are rushing towards Sony’s consoles.

However, more than the base console, fans are inclined towards the more powerful PS5 Pro, which has now been sold out at most major US retailers. While Rockstar didn’t reveal any Pro details, it’ll likely offer the best experience.

Why it matters: The PS5 Pro is quite an expensive console at this point following the recent price hikes, but that isn’t stopping consumers from buying arguably the best way to experience GTA 6 in all its might.

The PS5 Pro is currently out of stock at most major US retailers like Best Buy, Target, Amazon, and more. In the rare instance that we find it in stock, it’s selling for a ridiculously high $1,300, over $400 above the console’s MSRP.

We don’t really know what upgrades the GTA 6 PS5 Pro version will bring, but it will likely feature even better visuals and ray tracing through PSSR. 60 FPS is still in doubt, as analysts say that won’t be possible on consoles.

Nonetheless, the Pro consoles’ sales are thriving despite the high price. It is also notable that fans had planned a PlayStation blackout this week to protest against the company for cancelling discs, which seems to be failing badly.
