Insomniac previously canceled its standalone multiplayer title, Spider-Man: The Great Web. While fans were devastated by the cancellation of this, they will sooner or later get a multiplayer title from Insomniac. 

There were a lot of rumors going on in the past that Spider-Man 3 would feature a standalone multiplayer game. A reliable insider also revealed previously that the canceled project, Spider-Man: The Great Web, is likely to surface again as a reworked project for Spider-Man 3. 

Now, a new job posting has further revealed that Insomniac is, in fact, working on a multiplayer title

Why it matters: Following the cancellation of the multiplayer Spider-Man title, fans have requested that the developer start the project again.

Fans are also anticipating that this could be for the upcoming Wolverine game, as the developer has just started hiring for the project, so the 2030 timeline would make sense. 

my bet is this is the x-men game. i always felt that avengers game would be a better fit for x-men
