They get updated constantly with new features but you might not be able to enjoy these updates if your games do not support them. Today, we will tell you how to update your games to the latest version of DLSS, FSR & XeSS.
The Nvidia App
If you have chosen to buy an Nvidia card, you might have the easiest time updating your super sampler using the Nvidia app. Within the app, there are many options to tweak your DLSS versions on a game-per-game basis. To do this, complete the following steps:
- Open Nvidia App: Press the Windows key and search for “Nvidia App” > Open it.

Access Graphics Settings (Image By Tech4Gamers) - Select Game or Global Settings: Scroll through the list to select a specific game or adjust settings for all games globally.
Selecting Game (Image By Tech4Gamers) - Modify DLSS Override – Models Presets: Scroll down to Driver Settings > Locate DLSS Override – Models Presets.
Modify DLSS Override (Image By Tech4Gamers) - Apply Latest DLSS Models: Choose the latest available DLSS settings for Frame Generation, Ray Reconstruction, and Super Resolution.
With this method, you can update settings on the games officially supported by Nvidia. Furthermore, you can have some games that refuse to show up in this menu or only let you tinker with certain facets of the DLSS hierarchy, for example, letting you change Super-resolution.
DLSS Swapper

To update your upscaler you can follow these steps:
- Open Games Menu: Click the Settings button on the right panel to access the Games menu.

Verification
Though the in-game monitor after we enabled the DLSS Developer Options, specifically enabled the on-screen indicator for all DLSS DLLs, showed us that this update was working, we tested if the actual configuration files were changed after this procedure.
- Check DLSS Version: Open DLSS Swapper > Locate nvgx_dlss.dll for The First Descendant > Confirm it shows DLSS v3.7.20.
Checking Before Swapping DLSS (Image By Tech4Gamers) - Download New Version: Click DLSS options field > Select DLSS v310.2.1 > Download and apply the update.
Choosing New DLSS Version (Image By Tech4Gamers) - Verify Update: Refresh nvgx_dlss.dll properties > Confirm DLSS has changed from 3.7.20 to 310.2.1.
