With a map three times the size of Red Dead Redemption 2, a lot of fans are curious about how GTA 6 will perform on different consoles, as Rockstar has only showcased PS5 footage so far. As it turns out, the company is confident that the title will blow gamers away on every platform.

Why it matters: Fans won’t be convinced until Rockstar shows GTA 6 footage running on an Xbox Series S, but knowing that the company is confident in every port is certainly a relief.

According to Kinda Funny Games on YouTube, Rockstar has full confidence in GTA 6 running well on Xbox Series X|S. Andy Cortez, who was invited by studio co-head Rob Nelson to the preview, said that Rockstar emphasized that it is happy with how the title is running everywhere, including Xbox hardware.

Q- Did you guys talk of anything about Xbox? Because It Is Also going To Be On Series S and X.

A- They mentioned they are happy with how its looking and running everywhere.

The YouTuber also mentioned how he has a lot of confidence that the GTA 6 launch wouldn’t be a Cyberpunk 2077 situation, thanks to the open dialogue he had with Rockstar developers during the preview.

Despite the extended reveal running at 4K 30 FPS on the base PS5, the studio hasn’t set any performance targets for the open-world title as of yet. Reports suggest that a 60 FPS mode could launch after GTA 6 releases, but regardless, it seems like Rockstar is not worried about how the game will perform on Xbox Series X|S.
