- A report suggests that the PC port for GTA 6 could be released as soon as Q1 2027.
- This would be different from the previous game that took 19 months to come to PC.
- It seems that Rockstar wants to reach a much larger audience in a shorter time.
The biggest gaming event in a decade, GTA 6 is set to release in just over a month at this point. Just like its previous iteration, the game will be a console exclusive at launch; however, it is expected to launch a lot sooner than GTA 5.
After its initial release on PS3 and Xbox 360, GTA 5 found its way over to PC after 19 months. However, a new report suggests that GTA 6 could release on PC in just a few months, coming out in Q1 2027.
Why it matters: This is quite a short window, and Rockstar doesn’t usually do this. This could be owing to the fact that console prices are skyrocketing, and the studio wants to reach a larger audience more quickly.

Gamesbeat revealed that 4 different sources told them that the GTA 6 PC port is set to release in Q1 2027. The sources obviously chose to remain anonymous, but they do seem credible, since they are industry insiders.
They have also reached out to Rockstar for comment, but they haven’t responded yet. If the game is indeed coming to PC this early, an official announcement could be coming as soon as early next year.

Anyhow, this is great news for PC users, meaning that they might not have to rush to experience GTA 6 by getting a console. It doesn’t seem the wait will be too long, but let’s just wait for the official announcement first.
