Will Stick With The Its Predecessor Pricing!!

Now that the GeForce RTX 4070 has been released, the next graphics card on Nvidia’s list is the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, and it looks like Nvidia might price it similarly to its predecessor.

According to a report by MyDrivers, the upcoming Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is expected to be priced similarly to GeForce RTX 3060 Ti at $399.

GeForce RTX 4070 sales

This might make it more competitive than other RTX 40 series cards. However, this should not come as a surprise, as other RTX 40 series cards have not gained as much attention as Nvidia hoped.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 and RTX 4070 Ti received an underwhelming response from the gaming community. So to turn things around, Nvidia is expected to price the mid-ranged GeForce RTX 4060 Ti at $399. The GeForce RTX 3060 Ti was also launched at $399, though it became a victim to scalpers and crypto miners.

The upcoming Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti at $399 might do well since scalpers and crypto miners are no longer investing in graphics cards. According to rumors, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti will feature the AD106-350-A1 GPU, a cut-down version of the AD106 GPU.

Furthermore, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is rumored to come with 4352 CUDA cores and 8 GB of GDDR6 memory running at a 128-bit interface. Though with only 8GB of VRAM, the card might not be as exciting as other RTX 40 series cards. So Nvidia might bump up the memory to a more acceptable amount.

Judging from the specifications, the upcoming GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is gearing up to perform similarly to GeForce RTX 3070 Ti. Aside from that, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti will also be using the next-gen RT cores. So ray tracing performance might also be better besides DLSS 3 support.

The GeForce RTX 4070 has a total board power of 200W. Compared to that, the total rated board power of the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti will be lower, potentially around 150W. This will make the card eligible for ITX builds, as not much cooling is needed for a 150W card with GDDR6 memory.

The upcoming card’s pricing is crucial for the graphics card market. Due to the poor response of the GeForce RTX 4070, Nvidia is reportedly slowing down on production for a month. This may minimize the oversupply of GeForce RTX 4070 cards, allowing partners to sell their current stock.

The GeForce RTX 3060 from Nvidia is also Steam’s most popular graphics card. If the upcoming GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is indeed priced similarly to the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, then the GeForce RTX 4060 non-Ti might replace the GeForce RTX 3060 on that list soon.
