Fans Also Complain That The Textures Look Really Low Quality!

Story Highlight
  • Fans are now calling out Ubisoft for censoring character designs in Black Flag Resynced.
  • Anne Bonny’s outfit and character design have been updated to suit the modern era.
  • Fans demand that the company stick with the original designs and skip censorship.

After much anticipation, Ubisoft announced the much-coveted Assassin’s Creed Black Flag remake with a July release date. However, despite the overall previews being positive, fans have had several complaints about the trailer.

One of the things Ubisoft is getting backlash for is censoring characters, specifically Anne Bonny, in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. While this doesn’t seem like a big problem in the grand scheme of things, fans are pissed.

Why it matters: Changing character appearances to better fit today’s standards is something modern remakes tend to do. However, fans want the original and don’t really appreciate the censorship.

In Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, Anne Bonny’s outfits and character design have become much less exaggerated and safe, which is frustrating the fans, as they wanted Ubisoft to replicate the original design.

Additionally, this isn’t the only complaint they’ve had. Players are also criticizing the ornaments she’s adorning look really low quality, and the textures also look too flat, and now next-gen at all.

Fans have also complained that the cutscenes look really low-quality

This certainly is true, since for some reason the textures don’t feel as rich as they should be. There have been other complaints as well, like the removal of the classic hidden blade, a mandatory internet connection, and low-quality cutscenes
