iPhone Prices Expected To Go Up!

Story Highlight
  • Apple is reportedly preparing an early iPhone 17 price increase before the iPhone 18 Pro launch window.
  • Previously, earlier analysis suggested various iPhone 17 models could see higher pricing.
  • Apple also increased MacBook prices not too long ago.

As Apple struggles with the ongoing memory crisis, the tech giant could be on the verge of another price hike. With no end in sight to these price hikes, Apple’s flagship iPhone 17 lineup could be on the verge of a price hike.

Why it matters: Apple’s iPhone models are already quite expensive, but they still offer plenty of value for the price. However, increased prices could significantly impact the company’s overall sales, especially since production might also take a hit due to supply shortages.

A new report claims that the company may raise prices ahead of the expected iPhone 18 Pro launch period.

According to sources, the iPhone 17 is said to be facing an early price rise roughly a month before Apple’s next Pro-tier launch. Apple has not officially announced a price change, but the leak suggests an announcement could come as early as later today.

It is also said that Apple has decided against increasing its production capacity for the supply chain. This might impact future releases, like the iPhone 18 series. On the subject of the iPhone 18 Pro is expected to launch next month.

However, with prices already said to be increasing, Apple will almost certainly offer the iPhone 18 Pro with the revised pricing in mind.

Even if Apple holds on to its current pricing model for now, revised MSRPs are only a matter of time. Memory shortages have begun impacting all sorts of consumer goods, and smartphones have also been heavily affected, especially with flagship models offering a ton of memory lately.
