PS5 emulation is currently making big strides, marking big milestones like GTA 5 becoming playable on KyTy.
This particular emulator has been in many discussions lately, with KyTy showing a lot of potential so far. As updates regarding PS5 emulation continue to arrive, Demon’s Souls Remake has now been booted on KyTy.
Why it matters: Previously, Demon’s Souls Remake showed progress on SharpEmu, so the game could become playable soon enough.
As shown above, Demon’s Souls Remake on KyTy is technically showing hope right now, but it comes with a lot of caveats.
For starters, the title was tested on an extremely beefy Ryzen 9 9950X3D and RTX 5090 combo. The game also consumes over 30GB of RAM in this state and runs at around 2FPS.
All things considered, this is still an impressive milestone for the project being so early in development. If things continue to progress at this rate, it may not be long before Demon’s Souls Remake becomes at least playable at 30FPS, even if hardware requirements continue to remain relatively high.
Because PS5 emulation is showing regular updates, it will be interesting to see just how far these projects will progress in the near future. Perhaps KyTy will show signs of GTA 6 also becoming playable via emulation at some point next year.
