Rockstar Partnered With A Studio To Produce Original Episodes!

Story Highlight
  • GTA 6 is said to feature entire seasons’ worth of cartoons and live-action TV shows.
  • Rockstar worked with a separate animation studio to produce a large number of episodes of said shows.
  • A small glimpse of these TV shows was also shown during the Netflix Extended Look.

GTA 6 is shaping up to be the industry’s biggest and most dense release of all time. Amid the excitement, it’s been confirmed that the game’s open world itself will have plenty to do and experience, while other mechanics related to the gym and the protagonists’ relationship will keep players busy in other ways.

For even more content, Rockstar Games has produced entire TV shows for players to watch within GTA 6.

Why it matters: GTA 6 promises to offer numerous side content to keep players busy, and this example highlights just how far the team went to come up with said content.

GTA 6 Is Doing Everything It Can To Stand Out

During the latest Kinda Funny Gamescast, host Andy Cortez confirmed that Rockstar Games showcased different media that players would get to experience within GTA 6 itself.

According to Andy Cortez, the team showed off one show similar to Family Guy. The Kinda Funny Gamescast host was also shown another TV series during his time at Rockstar Games.

It is said that the team worked with an external animation studio to come up with multiple episodes of these shows. Some of these shows also delve into live-action territory, ensuring GTA 6 has plenty to offer for fans even when they feel like simply kicking back and relaxing.

We hired an animation studio to make us like I don’t know how many episodes of this cartoon. We have so much watchable media in this game.

Note that the Netflix Extended Preview showed a very small glimpse of these TV series briefly. As is the case with Rockstar Games’ typical content, fans can expect these shows to be every bit as bizarre and satirical as the rest of the game.

GTA 5 also offered watchable media in a similar manner, but the studio’s statement suggests that GTA 6 will have a lot more of this type of media, in addition to having more varied watchable content.
