- NetEase has revealed an in-depth gameplay for its upcoming game, Blood Message.
- The 19-minute demonstration showcases proper next-gen visuals and great combat.
- Fans state it’s the first game that looks visually like a proper next-gen title.
Revealed last year, Blood Message promised to deliver an Uncharted-like Chinese experience, and fans were thrilled with the first look. Now, Netease has revealed a detailed look at the gameplay, and it looks incredible.
The Marvel Rivals studio has released an exclusive 19-minute gameplay footage for Blood Message, and it boasts stunning visuals and excellent combat, which could make it among the most-anticipated games releasing soon.
Why it matters: The visuals have now reached a point that games themselves have started to look like cutscenes and cinematics, and NetEase’s upcoming action-adventure game is a perfect example of that.
Based on Unreal Engine 5, Blood Message’s graphics look exactly what we thought next-gen would be. It is highly cinematic, topping it off with brilliant combat, and fun hiding and chase sequences from the gameplay.
The only thing it needs to do well is the story, and the studio might have a humongous hit on its hands. The game clearly gets a lot of inspiration from other titles like Uncharted and Ryse, and mimics them quite well.

However, it still has a very distinctive identity, and that is what could help it stand out. Unfortunately, we currently don’t have a release window. It was rumored to be coming in H2 2026, but that seems unlikely at this point.
