Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic took the event by storm when it was announced back at last year’s The Game Awards. Although we have next to no information on the project, we do know that some very talented individuals are working on it.

Arcanaut Studio has revealed some of the core developers working on Star Wars FOTOR, and it is filled with talent from the golden age of BioWare studio. It seems that Casey Hudson has called back the veterans for the project.

Why it matters: Since these developers have worked on super hit titles over the years, including the original Knights of the Old Republic and the Mass Effect games, this will undoubtedly raise expectations for their next title.

FOTOR Devs
Star Wars FOTOR is filled with ex-BioWare devs from the studio’s golden age

If we head over to Aracaut’s official website, we can see a list of developers involved in the studio. This includes multiple ex-BioWare developers, whose resumes are filled with hits, and have worked throughout the studio’s golden age.

The developers include Dan Fessenden, Caroline Livingstone, and Ryan Hole, all of whom have been involved with KOTOR and Mass Effect. Additionally, they have others who worked on multiple hit Dragon Age games.

The title is expected to launch before 2030

You can head over to their website to see the full list. With Casey Hudson leading the studio and the team brimming with talent, FOTOR is already showcasing huge potential and could be an inevitable Star Wars hit.

The launch isn’t expected anytime soon, but it isn’t too far away either. Hudson confirmed that it will indeed launch before 2030, so maybe in a couple of years. Nonetheless, most will be hoping for another look soon.
