- xQc reveals that his highest payday to stream a game was $1 million for Call of Duty.
- Activision paid him this whopping amount to stream the game for 12 hours in one day.
- This shows the influence of streamers and how much companies spend on marketing.
It is no secret that Activision splashes a huge amount of money to promote its blockbuster franchise, Call of Duty. The quality of recent titles has been debatable, but there is no doubt that the company invests heavily in the franchise.
So much so that Stramer xQc, in a recent Q&A, revealed that Activision paid him an eye-watering $1 million to stream Call of Duty: Warzone for 12 hours in one day. This is a ridiculously high amount of money for half a day.
Why it matters: Streamers do get a lot to promote games, but this kind of money, that too for just 12 hours a day if rarely heard of, and shows how much Activision is committed to marketing its FPS franchise.
In a recent session with Dexerto, xQc was asked about the highest sum of money he has ever made in a day. The streamer replied that he once made a whopping $15 million a day from some gambling content.
But in terms of gaming, his highest payday was $1 million, which Activision offered for streaming Call of Duty. The original deal was multiple streams over 2 weeks, but they settled on 12 hours in a single day.

This shows how the streamer holds a huge influence over the gaming industry. Now, yes, not every streamer is paid this much, and this must be a rare case scenario, but there is no denying the impact of streamers on game marketing.
Nonetheless, fans have urged Activision to pour the same investment and quality into recent games. It has struggled to maintain a strong player base lately, and fans want something new and fresh.
