- Days Gone Remastered was rumored to be in development last year.
- Sony has finally announced the unwanted remaster during the recent PlayStation State of Play.
- The remastered version will be released on April 25th on PlayStation and the DLC will be released on PC on the same date.
Fans have been asking for a sequel to Days Gone, one of the most loved PlayStation IP. However, Sony has refused to listen to the fandom and didn’t care enough to give them a sequel to an IP they enjoyed.
Instead of giving them a sequel Sony apparently decided to announce Days Gone Remastered during State of Play. The game will be launching on April 25th.
Why it matters: Fans are already sick of Sony releasing unwanted remastered instead of listening to their demand. So, this remaster may backfire like the others have.
The game will feature new content like a Permadeath Mode, Enhanced Photomode, New Accessibility Features, Speedrun Mode, and Horde Assault.
The new accessibility features include: High Contrast mode, Game Speed, UI Narration, Collectible Audio Cues, Controller Remapping, Field of View slider, and more.
The remaster will be released on PlayStation 5 on April 25, 2025. Those who already have the PS4 version can upgrade it for just $10. However, those who don’t have the PS4 would have to spend $50 in order to play the remaster.
On PC the new features and content will also be available through Epic Games and Steam on the same date. Those who already own the game on PC can simply just purchase the Broken Road DLC for $10.
The remaster was already rumored to be in development but the rumor faded away as no announcement was made from Sony. However, this sudden announcement may have taken the fandom by surprise.
