The StarCraft open-world shooter is also being led by the former boss behind Far Cry, and he says that the opportunity is incredibly exciting.

Former Far Cry boss Dan Hay is said to be leading Blizzard’s StarCraft open-world shooter, and he has described the role as an honor. According to GamesRadar, the developer believes the team “won the cosmic lottery” by getting to work on the StarCraft universe.
For reference, Dan Hay worked on iconic Ubisoft first-person shooters like Far Cry 3,4, and 5. The developer moved on from Ubisoft in 2021, and he has also been involved in Blizzard projects like Diablo 4 since then.
As such, his experience with open-world shooters like Far Cry and Blizzard titles like Diablo 4 should make him a great pick for the upcoming StarCraft entry.
