1 Million Each on Steam And Xbox!

Starfield has been subject to anticipation for many years, and many players have already immersed themselves in the RPG. The game has garnered fans from all around the world and is continuing to reach new heights with each passing day.

Despite being available to early access users until a few hours ago, Starfield reached a peak concurrent Steam player count of over 230K during its first day on the platform.

Following this reception, PlayTracker reports Starfield has also reached millions of players across Steam and Xbox.

Why it matters: Starfield was Microsoft’s biggest game of 2023 and one of the most anticipated games from a developer well-known for its work in the RPG genre. These numbers are also expected to be a fraction of the complete player base after release.

The report states Starfield reached more than two million users during its early access period. As stated in the tweet, over a million of those users came via Steam and over a million from the Xbox consoles and PC store.

This is a significant milestone for Starfield, given that these numbers are from early access. The achievement is even more impressive, considering that the game’s Premium Edition costs a hefty $100.

Over on Xbox, Game Pass users were given the option to buy the Premium Edition Upgrade for $35. This allowed Game Pass subscribers to join early access without having to pay the full price for the game.

Recently, it was noted that the Premium Edition Upgrade had jumped to the best-sellers section of the Xbox store. Therefore, this offer likely ended up being a significant contributor to the game’s success on the platform.

Starfield

Starfield has been in early access for almost a week, but players have just scratched the surface of this massive RPG. The buzz surrounding the game has been so incredible that it reached a peak of almost 550K concurrent viewers on Twitch.

With the game now being available to all users worldwide, it is expected to continue this success over the weekend.

Starfield appears to be living up to the promise of an exciting new universe from the creators of iconic RPGs like Fallout and The Elder Scrolls.

The developers spent nearly a decade refining the game and bringing it up to par with expectations, and the recent reception has shown that additional delays to the game were worth it.
