Intel has officially announced that its top-of-the-line Intel Arc A770 Limited Edition has been discontinued. It was one of the few Intel GPUs which offered 16GB VRAM.
This graphics card also has a standard model, which offers 8GB RAM. Intel Arc A770 limited edition has already served its function. So nobody can complain about it being discontinued as the name already shows us “Limited” Edition.
This announcement only affects Intel branded GPUs “Limited Edition” and only the A770 SKU. This means that all board partner designs will continue as they were. Like Acer and Gunnir models will be available for purchase in the market. So it is still possible to buy the Intel Arc A770 limited edition with 16GB of VRAM, but only with a custom design.
Intel Arc A770 “Limited Edition” will disappear from the market after the current stock is finished. Hence, it is a collector’s item. Intel’s first top-of-the-line GPU, and the first with 16GB of VRAM, barely lasted 9 months. As it was released on October 12 last year.
Intel Arc A750 is the most popular Intel Graphic Card in the market. Although it has 8GB of VRAM, unlike its competition, its affordable price makes it a killer in the lower-middle range.
It handily outperforms the AMD Radeon RX 7600 and will battle it out with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060. Essentially next-gen graphics are nearly doubled in price. It is expected that sometime in 2024, we will have their new GPUs based on the Battlemage architecture.
All the bugs found and made with the Alchemist architecture will allow Battlemage to improve and take a giant leap forward.
