Over 750 Negative Reviews!

The year 2023 has not been kind to PC gamers. While the gaming industry continues to see a plethora of exciting AAA releases, the PC gaming industry has only been able to enjoy a few so far.

Most games have launched in a less-than-stellar state on PC, and Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been no different. With plenty of concern about PC performance before release, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has launched to a plethora of negative reviews on Steam.

Currently, the game has 1023 user reviews, with over 760 of them being negative. This means that less than 35% of the user reviews are positive.

Reviews have pointed out the poor performance, with one user claiming to be getting 30FPS on a GeForce RTX 4080 and Intel i9 13900KF.

Other users have criticized the game’s lack of upscaling options like Nvidia DLSS while highlighting the disappointing ray tracing implementation from Respawn Entertainment. Some users are also facing crashing issues.

A few reviews have referenced recent PC ports launching in a poor state, stating that they will refund the game.

Previously, it was revealed that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has various problems, like extremely high VRAM consumption and a CPU bottleneck. In addition to these issues, the game is also prone to stuttering problems.

However, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is an exceptional game at heart, as seen by the positive critical reception. Much to everyone’s disappointment, the game is held back by technical limitations and poor performance, which has also been observed on consoles.

The game was previously delayed by a month, but it looks like the developer could not bring it up to par in time for its April 28 release date. Nonetheless, the team is promising fixes and patches in the coming weeks.
