- A fan is working on a native PC version of Bloodborne.
- The project is based on a Bloodborne executable running directly on Linux.
- This port can currently access multiple areas and supports features like saves and gamepad support.
Bloodborne has yet to officially move on from the PS4, but the game has been playable on PC for a while now, thanks to ShadPS4.
The emulator already offers an impressive experience for those looking to play Bloodborne on the platform, but one fan has taken things to the next level, working on a native PC version of the game.
Why it matters: Many classic games have begun to receive native PC ports. In Bloodborne’s case, this version seems to be made specifically for Linux systems.

Over on GitHub, a fan has managed to run the original Bloodborne executable directly on an x86-64 Linux PC. Although this version isn’t necessarily emulated, it does still use a heavily modified version of ShadPS4.
So far, this version of the game is said to be far from fully playable, though it does get a lot done. Players can go through several locations of the game and access functions like saves and gamepad support.
Moreover, it runs on entry-level hardware like an RX 580 and Intel Core i5-9400.

With progress still being made, the port already appears quite impressive for what it has achieved. Fans can expect to see it improve consistently in the future, possibly leading to a native PC version for one of PlayStation’s most beloved first-party titles.
