Finally!

Update: Jez Corden has provided further information regarding the event. According to him, the event will be a new Developer Direct show format, scheduled for January 25, and will feature content from Bethesda and Xbox.

The Game of the Year Awards 2022 was held last month in December of 2022, and one thing that was discreetly widely rumored was that Microsoft would not be present at the significant gaming event due to its altercations with regulatory agencies like the FTC.

The rumors were quickly confirmed accurate when Microsoft was not present at the Game Awards 2022. This made fans very disappointed because they were not able to hear from any of the highly anticipated titles that were in development.

But a while back, we got to know from well-known journalist Jez Corden that he had heard from several sources that Xbox planned to have an event at the beginning of 2023 to reveal details about its upcoming titles.

Well, it appears that the rumored event may be happening soon, as the same journalist, Jez Corden, recently responded to a thread on Twitter where he hinted towards the event happening soon.

He further stated:

“definitely something cooking.”

In addition, Jez Corden previously said in response to a Twitter thread that,

“maybe showcase is a strong word. Direct maybe? Not sure on the scale yet, but don’t expect like a huge E3 show.”

As there has been no official announcement from Microsoft, we cannot say whether the event will be taking place. Nevertheless, we sincerely hope it does because many fans eagerly await info about highly anticipated titles like Starfield, Redfall, and Avowed, to mention a few.

We are excited and looking forward to the upcoming Xbox games showcase. This is the limited information we have for now, but we will be looking for more news regarding the upcoming Xbox games showcases in the future.
