Starfield Is Still Set To Launch In First Half Of 2023

Starfield Is Coming Soon!

Microsoft has been working towards a robust first-party line-up for several years, and 2023 is shaping to be the most critical year for the gaming giant. With several titles announced for 2023, including Forza Motorsport, Redfall, and Starfield, fans have been hoping that Microsoft can finally deliver on its promises.

However, it was recently leaked that Redfall had been internally delayed by two months. A reputable source later corroborates this leak, leading to worries about Bethesda’s other title, Starfield.

But the developer has now reconfirmed that Starfield is coming in the first half of 2023, as announced last year.

This information comes from the official Starfield support page, which has just gone live. The support page will assist Starfield buyers with problems regarding their accounts, billing, and more. Furthermore, it also states that the game will be exclusive to Xbox Series S|X and PC platforms

Microsoft is betting on Starfield, and the game is shaping to be the giant’s most significant title in over a decade. The game promises tons of open-world content with nearly 1000 planets. Todd Howard has also claimed that the developer could have pushed past this number even further but decided not to do so to keep each planet distinct and unique.

Starfield fans have also discovered potential mechanics that have not been explicitly outlined. One such mechanic is space piracy, and Starfield could allow boarding ships for equipment and materials. Furthermore, the game will also make use of technologies like RTX support.

However, Microsoft has not confirmed an exact release date. The game seems to be coming in the next six months, but Redfall and Forza Motorsport are looking to share the same release window.

Recent rumors have discussed an Xbox showcase in early 2023, so Microsoft could be gearing up for a new look at Starfield. This could also mean that fans will finally have an exact release date on their hands.

Like other first-party Microsoft titles, Starfield will also be available on Xbox Game Pass on day one.
