Microsoft Targets Xbox One Users With Up To 50% Off On Xbox Series X|S In Store Promotion

A Refurbished 1 TB Xbox Series X Is Available For A Measly $300 Through This Deal.

Story Highlight
  • Microsoft is trying to offload Xbox Series X|S consoles by offering exclusive discounts to Xbox One players.
  • The users on the last-gen console are being offered a whopping 50% price cut to purchase the 1 TB digital edition of Series X.
  • This offer isn’t showing for all players, however, and only a select few can avail this discount.

This generation, Xbox hardware has been nowhere near its historic competitor, PlayStation. The Xbox Series X|S has been declining in revenue for four consecutive years now, with a 32% reduction in sales this last quarter alone.

In 2025, the current-gen Microsoft console couldn’t even reach 2 million unit sales globally, falling to fourth in the console pecking order at one point. Many consider the Xbox Series generation to be a lost cause, but from the looks of it, the gaming giant is still trying its hardest to market the hardware to last-gen players.

Why it matters: Before Microsoft tries to reset once again with Xbox Project Helix, offloading all the Series X|S consoles it can isn’t a bad idea.

As spotted on X, Microsoft is targeting Xbox One users with exclusive discounts for the Xbox Series X|S. This deal, marketed as a “Just For You” speciality on the Microsoft Store, is reducing the price of the hardware by a whopping 50%.

The 1TB digital edition of Xbox Series X is up to 42% off, selling for just $350 on the website instead of its $600 retail price. On the other hand, a refurbished version of the console is available for half its cost, purchasable for just $300 on the Microsoft Store. However, this offer isn’t showing up for all users and is only available for a select few.

With sales of the console collapsing massively in 2025 after multiple price hikes, this could be an effort from Microsoft to sell as many Xbox Series consoles as they can before it becomes obsolete.

Xbox Series X|S sales declined by 32% last quarter.

The company has already announced its next-gen hardware in the form of the Xbox Project Helix, which is rumored to launch in the holiday season of 2027 and cost twice as much as the Series X
