After Switch’s domination in the console space for over half a decade, Nintendo’s upcoming console is the next big thing that will shake the entire gaming scene. Many rumors imply that it is a massive iterative upgrade with a price of $499. However, the company has not revealed much officially yet. Although a developer might have come forward with some convincing news.

An alleged Switch 2 developer and a trusted insider in the community now claim that Switch 2 hardware is quite capable. He argues that a lot of people will be left pleasantly surprised after it launches.

As spotted by Reddit user u/Future31, the supposed Switch 2 dev and a trusted insider on Install Base forums claimed that the upcoming handheld can handle AAA games with ease, with both Nintendo and third parties seeing it as ‘a big potential growth driver.’

The hardware is very capable. I’m not at all saying it’ll get everything always, but I think a lot of people will be pleasantly surprised.

Past Switch 2 rumors and design leaks have clarified that it will be officially announced in January next year. Additionally, it will feature Hall Effect Joy-Cons, an 8-inch screen, and two USB-C ports at different places.

All in all, it is best to take these rumors with a pinch of salt. There have been plenty of Switch 2 leaks in the last few weeks, but Nintendo has not confirmed or denied any of them.
