- Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League hasn’t been doing great since its launch.
- It has been noted that Sony has started refunding players who purchased the game.
- While Sony’s refund policy is very strict, the gaming giant appears to have made an exception in this case.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is among the worst-rated games of this year, becoming the worst release from Rocksteady Studios, and players are already moving on from the looter shooter a month after it launched.
Amid the chaos, PlayStation also appears to be refunding users who purchased Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
Why it matters: Sony’s refund policy is very strict, and it rarely makes exceptions.

A Redditor recently shared his experience with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and its refund process. According to the user, he wasn’t expecting it to be refunded, but Sony has sent an email confirming that it would refund the game.
Others in the comments have also gotten the refund. While Sony rarely issues refunds, the gaming giant might have made an exception due to a potentially high number of requests for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
Typically, PlayStation only accepts refunds within 14 days. Unlike Steam, it only considers refunds for games that have not been downloaded. However, in this instance, the Redditor had already played the looter shooter for many hours.
This also proves that the game isn’t worth buying in its current state, whether it be due to the high price or lack of appealing content. On that note, the game was also discounted by 30% recently.
Previously, Sony issued similar refunds for games like Cyberpunk 2077, though CD Projekt RED’s title was faced with a worse situation.
you know as a dev you f****d up when Sony starts refunding people.

It appears that Sony is the only platform that’s giving refunds at the moment, with one Redditor replying that Xbox denied a refund made in a similar scenario.
Recently, Warner Bros also confirmed that the game didn’t meet sales expectations since the publisher had higher expectations from this live-service title. If the already small player base continues to pursue refunds, Warner Bros could face even more disappointment with this release.
This launch shows that following live service trends rarely ends well.
Perhaps Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League could have had a different story if it was created as a single-player title, but fans can only hope this is the last of Warner Bros’ forced live-service push.
