PlayStation Trolls Bloodborne Fans With Astro Bot Amid Remake Demand

This Has To Be Intentional From PlayStation!

Story Highlight
  • PlayStation has continuously neglected Bloodborne despite massive demand from fans.
  • The gaming giant just added the Yharnam Hunter outfit as a pre-order bonus for Astro Bot Dexlue Edition.
  • This shows that PlayStation still acknowledges the franchise despite ignoring it constantly.

It is pretty common for Bloodborne fans to want a remake of the game. Sony has neglected them for a long time, but they still haven’t lost hope. The recent State of Play even made the game trend on Twitter, but it wasn’t mentioned in the live event.

Fans have been waiting for Sony to take a step in this regard. However, the gaming giant has done the opposite and trolled the fans with an Astro Bot pre-order bonus

Why it matters: FromSoftware has acknowledged the fan demand for the remake, but Sony has yet to acknowledge the IP in recent years publicly.

Bloodborne Has Also Been Heavily Requested For PC

The official PlayStation blog mentions the Astro Bot pre-order bonuses. Team Asobi revealed the bonuses that players will get with the three editions of the game upon pre-ordering.

Surprisingly, one of those bonuses is the Bloodborne-themed outfit, which looks quite nice. While this is a great addition to the game, it also seems like Bloodborne fans are being trolled here.

It makes sense for this franchise to be featured in Astro Bot since PlayStation has included multiple nods to its biggest IPs in the game. However, with Bloodborne being ignored, this pre-order bonus seems like a troll attempt more than anything.

If fans pre-order the Deluxe Edition of Astro Bot, they will receive early access to the Yharnam Hunter outfit. There are also other rewards, like PaRappa Lovestruck Lyricist costume and Glorious Graffiti DualSense Speeder skin.

However, the new Astro Bot is priced at $60, which may be a bit controversial since the last game that shipped with the PS5 was free.

Aside from that, there’s more that you can get from pre-ordering, but it might not seem that charming for Bloodborne fans. Some fans might get the Deluxe edition because they love FromSoftware’s abandoned IP, but others could be angered.

Fortunately, not all hope is lost, as a reliable insider has previously claimed that a remake of the game is in development, though it may not arrive before the end of this generation.
