- Phantom Blade Zero will feature an honor system similar to that of Red Dead 2.
- If you are honorable and help those in need, it will have a macroscopic impact.
- This adds another layer to the gameplay, making the title even more interesting.
Phantom Blade Zero is turning into a very interesting prospect. Players were hyped ever since we saw its first gameplay a couple of years ago. Now that the release is drawing near, we are discovering even more interesting gameplay aspects of the title.
In a recent interview, the creator of Phantom Blade discussed the game’s honor system. It will influence the main storyline, and the consequences will change accordingly. This is very similar to what Rockstar did with Red Dead Redemption 2.
Why it matters: This adds another interesting layer to the gameplay, as players get to decide their character’s fate based on honor. It even gives the game good replayability, allowing players to find different outcomes.

Soulframe Liang, CEO of S-Game and creator of Phantom Blade, discussed the game’s Wuxia elements. Xia embodies the character when they are down and out, and decide whether to help others.
It will influence (the story). You will find that as long as you act with a code of honor, it will have a bigger, macroscopic impact.

This led to discussions about the honor system, and Liang explained that when you help others, your honor rises and affects your own story of love and vengeance. Your actions will have a huge effect on the game’s outcome.
This will undoubtedly make the title even more fun on top of an already wonderful-looking gameplay. Phantom Blade Zero is set to release in September and could be a breakout title for the studio, and in hindsight, it is looking that way.
