As expected, the emulator responsible for this breakthrough is KyTyPS5, which used a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and RTX 5090 combo to deliver a whopping 2FPS performance in the game. While this is nowhere near acceptable, the first step has already intrigued many. If progress on other games is anything to go by, Insomniac Games’ latest title could soon be running at close to 30FPS via the emulator. On the other hand, a game like Demon’s Souls has made further progress through the implementation of frame generation. All in all, PS5 emulation is progressing at a steady rate.
