- Halo Campaign Evolved launches on PS5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC later this year.
- A poll with thousands of voters shows that most people will buy the remake on PlayStation.
- This could lead to a huge fanbase for the series on PS5 before the rumored Halo 2 and Halo 3 remakes show up.
Halo Campaign Evolved marks the series debut on PlayStation, ending a two-decade-plus streak of the series serving as one of Xbox’s most important exclusive franchises.
The game launches on all modern platforms, but a recent poll offers a glimpse of what’s to come for the IP. According to the poll, the PS5 will be the platform of choice for most Halo Campaign Evolved players.
Why it matters: It is said that more Halo remakes are already in the works, so the first entry in the series could solidify PlayStation as the new home of Halo if the poll’s results translate into real-world numbers.

Spawn Wave recently shared a poll on his YouTube page, attracting a total of over 18K voters.
Among the voters, 43% voted that they would buy Halo Campaign Evolved on PS5. Interestingly, the smallest subset of voters picked the Xbox Series consoles, with PC coming in second place and earning 31% of the votes.
This result is so interesting because Halo is often considered a core part of the overall Xbox identity. Moreover, many have pointed out the inherent irony in the final results of the poll.
Console exclusivity aside, however, this result could be good for the overall future of Halo. The series has struggled over the last decade, but this could change if the first remake performs well across all platforms.
In particular, the remake resonating well with PS5 players could give its follow-ups a head start and ensure they also perform similarly well on the platform.

Over in the comments, some have even asked for a Nintendo Switch 2 port of Halo Campaign Evolved.
