The petition was created two days ago and has already begun to attract Star Wars fans. At the time of writing, over 300 have signed up, bringing the petition close to its first goal of 500 sign-ups.

According to Sam Stowe, the creator of this petition, EA’s decision has disappointed countless fans. He uses the fact that The Mandalorian reached 33 million viewers on Disney+ to try and convince EA.

We urge Respawn and all relevant stakeholders to reconsider their decision.

Respawn Entertainment has already been heavily invested in the Star Wars license, and the developer is also continuing work on the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor sequel. This project would have allowed the studio to explore Star Wars further.

Therefore, fans find this cancelation a huge missed opportunity, calling on EA to give them what they want.

At the time of writing, the petition is still receiving new sign-ups. Therefore, it is only a matter of time before it explodes and thousands of users join the movement to bring back Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars Mandalorian.

Whether it will lead to positive results is anybody’s guess, but this petition is a clear sign that EA made the wrong decision in this instance.
