Remedy Has Delivered Once Again!

Story Highlight
  • Control Resonant reviews are finally out, and it has scored a decent 85 on Metacritic.
  • The reviews praise it for the gameplay, art design, and the awesome narrative.
  • Minor gripes include a dull open world, but overall Remedy has done a great job.

Control was a highly experimental project, especially coming right after Remedy separated from Microsoft as its publishing partner. Though a slow burn, it was a financial success for the studio and received very decent reviews as well.

When the sequel was announced, fans were impressed by how good it looked and by the studio’s declaration that it was a must-play. Control Resonant has achieved an 85 score on Metacritic, so the reception is quite solid

Why it matters: Remedy has been associated with quality single-player titles in recent years fo the anticipation was quite high. Fans will be delighted to find out that the sequel totally meets expectations.

Control Resonant has opened to a quite decent 85 score on Metacritic

  • VGC – 10/10
  • Screen Rant – 9/10
  • GamingBolt – 9/10
  • GameSpot – 9/10
  • DualShockers – 8.5/10
  • Push Square – 8/10
  • IGN – 8/10
  • Metacritic – 85

Remedy has once again done a great job; that shows in the Control Resonant reviews. The reviews praise it for being better than the sequel in every way possible, and for having the best art direction we’ve seen all year.

Control Resonant
Remedy seems to have once again done a great job with its title

It was a risky project as it gambles on a very different style of gameplay, but nails most of the aspects. The traversal, melee combat, and exploration are all described as top-notch, while still maintaining that Remedy identity.

Reviews do have some gripes, though. The combat seems to be a little too repetitive, and it suffers from the open-world curse, where things can get boring. Aside from that, it seems the studio has another hit on its hands.
