Acquisitions had been a trend recently, and Microsoft has been one of the top companies leading this trend, with the acquisition of major companies like Activision Blizzard, Bethesda, and many more.

It was widely spread earlier this year that the existing deal between Sony and Activision will last for the next two years, and this had PlayStation fans shocked, as they believed the world-renowned title would be leaving their platform after two years when the Sony Activison deal ends.

However, this dispute was soon resolved, because Microsoft declared in February that it will continue to distribute Call of Duty on the PlayStation platform exceeding Sony’s current deal with Activision.

Now we have gotten further information on the matter, as according to The Verge, Microsoft is willing to put Call Of Duty on the PlayStation platform for ‘several more years. Phil Spencer told The Verge,

“In January, we provided a signed agreement to Sony to guarantee Call of Duty on PlayStation, with feature and content parity, for at least several more years beyond the current Sony contract, an offer that goes well beyond typical gaming industry agreements,”

The Call of Duty franchise has long been popular among PlayStation fans since its inception, therefore this is fantastic news for them since Microsoft is willing to exceed the current Sony Activision deal for several more years. This action will win the hearts of many PlayStation enthusiasts.
