Assassin’s Creed Mirage Leak Reiterates August 2023 Release

Coming In A Few Months!

Last year, at the franchise’s 15th anniversary, several new Assassin’s Creed games were announced, with Assassin’s Creed Mirage being the next entry in the series. Although the game has no official release date, it will be released in 2023. However, a recent leak suggests the game might be released in August 2023.

Why it matters: Assassin’s Creed has not seen a new entry since 2020, and this is the longest the franchise has ever gone without a new entry. The lack of any details of the game from Ubisoft has fans worried that the game may have been potentially delayed beyond 2023.

The leak comes from a GameStop employee allegedly confirming the game’s release for August. According to the employee, their computer has a marketing date for upcoming games, including Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which shows a release in August.

This corroborates the earlier release date claims by a reliable source. However, it should be noted that the release date mentioned above could be a placeholder date, so it should be taken with a grain of salt.

Previous leaks also suggested that the game has been delayed internally. A longer delay is possible, considering Assassin’s Creed Mirage is expected to be the first game to launch on the Infinity platform instead of Assassin’s Creed Red.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage was originally a DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. However,  it was later changed into a full spin-off game that will take inspiration from older Assassin’s Creed games instead of the newer RPG format.

New gameplay details and an official release date for the game are expected to be revealed at Ubisoft Forward in June. What are your thoughts on Assassin’s Creed Mirage? Are you excited for the game? Let us know in the comments down below.
