The much-anticipated Assassin’s Creed Black Flag remake is now just around the corner, and all things point towards a much-needed hit for Ubisoft. As the release draws nearer, we are hearing new details about the project as well. 

According to a new report, Ubisoft has reworked Assassin’s Creed Black Resynced to include new story missions for Edward Kenway’s journey that weren’t included with the original title that released over 20 years ago. 

Why it matters: The original game took around 20-23 hours to beat the incredible story, but with the remake, Ubisoft seems to want to flesh it out even more, which could also push the gameplay length, providing even more content.

Talking to Game Informer, Edward Kenwey, actor, Matt Ryan hyped the title, revealing that the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. He said the new content isn’t just filler; rather, it is a meaningful addition that adds to the story

(The new content) just jumped off the page, and they really add to the CHARACTER. they add depth to the character and story. They’re not just for the sake of filling it out.

This suggests that the skepticism around the pacing of the remake might be uncalled for, as the Kenway actor himself says that the new content adds further depth. So, Black Flag Resynced will have additional content for older fans, too. 

Anyhow, the game is set to launch in just a couple of months. It has already been selling incredibly well, and has been among the top-selling games on the PlayStation store in multiple regions already.
