- A report indicates that two new Assassin’s Creed games are currently in development.
- One will be set in Ancient Rome, and the other is a mobile game set in Jerusalem.
- AC Hexe has also reportedly been delayed from next year to now, in 2028.
The Assassin’s Creed franchise is finally back on its feet thanks to the brilliant Black Flag 4 Remake. Ubisoft has denied reports of any new remakes, but is still working on Assassin’s Creed Hexe; there could be more games on the way.
A new report suggests that 2 new Assassin’s Creed games are now in development. Additionally, Hexe has been internally delayed to 2028 as well. It was previously slated for a release sometime next year.
Why it matters: Hexe piqued the interest of many people based on its unique medieval premise, which will be new for the franchise, and Ubisoft seems to be going full steam ahead with its popular series.

The two new games in development are titled codename Mars and Pocket. The former will be set in Ancient Rome. The other is a smaller-scale mobile game which is set in Jerusalem, and could be something like Jade.
According to the previous slate, Hexe would be the 2027 Assassin’s Creed title, but it seems that now it will be pushed to 2028. So, Ubisoft could skip next year unless it has some other major project like Far Cry planned.

Anyhow, the studio seems to be working on a bunch of projects simultaneously. Fans have complained about the quality of recent releases, but if Ubisoft has learned, they’d find out that fans want more classic-style Assassin’s Creed games.
