The Witcher 3: Remastered has already become one of the biggest releases of the year. This remaster has also led to a new player count record for The Witcher 3, highlighting just how great the game is performing so far.

However, it seems The Witcher 3: Remastered is also being bombarded with thousands of negative reviews on Steam.

Why it matters: CDPR is well-known for its optimized PC releases, but the latest remaster seems to be running into multiple technical issues.

Over the last three days, The Witcher 3: Remastered has racked up over 2,000 negative reviews on Steam.

Most of the negative reviews point to performance issues or bugs related to this re-release, particularly because of how the game seems to run on AMD graphics cards, being full of glitches.

Those with Nvidia graphics cards have also complained about performance, though AMD users seem to be much worse off. 

Literally my favorite game of all time, but the remaster is completely broken.

According to CDPR, the latest driver update should address these issues, but it seems not everyone has been able to fix the problem yet. Elsewhere, The Witcher 3: Remastered is still seeing plenty of positive reviews, leading to a “Mostly Positive” rating on Steam when looking at the recent reviews.
