There has been a lot of controversy regarding Gears E-Day, since the title isn’t expected to sell too well. However, the reviews are here, and they’re glowing, which might convince a lot of people into buying and make it a financial success. 

Gears of War E-Day has debuted with a fantastic 87 on Metacritic. This marks one of the highest scores an Xbox game has scored in recent years, only after the likes of titles like Forza Horizon 6 with 90, so this is a major win. 

Why it matters: The early looks at the gameplay drew a little bit of skepticism, but there was always a lot of potential in the title, especially since the last game was also quite popular among the fans and critics.

However, it has some shortcomings as well. Reviews point out that not everything hits the mark, but it covers all the basics very well and then adds to it, marking a fantastic comeback for Xbox exclusives.
