GTA 6 UI Needs To Be Changed?

Story Highlight
  • GTA 6 fans are criticizing the game’s UI for looking unfinished and uncreative.
  • Many say that the mini-map and icons look too uninspired for a Rockstar title.
  • There is still a chance that the team will update these elements in time for the full launch.

It would be an understatement to call GTA 6 impressive after its Netflix showcase. Most parts of the game appear to be incredible, with Rockstar Games paying incredible attention to each part of the experience.

However, fans have also found some parts of the game underwhelming. In particular, it seems many aren’t fond of Jason so far. Fans also say that the game’s UI isn’t the most appealing.

Why it matters: GTA games are typically quite creative, even with their smallest elements, so fans have not found the UI too impressive so far.

GTA 6’s UI has sparked a new online debate, and not everyone is impressed with Rockstar’s current direction. Fans have been arguing over whether the interface looks too simple, boring, or even unfinished.

The criticism focuses on the game’s cleaner on-screen layout. Some fans believe the UI lacks the personality often associated with Rockstar Games’ older games, especially when compared to the more stylized presentation seen in titles like GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2.

The mini-map seems to be one of the biggest targets in this debate. Fans say that it looks too plain, especially since it will end up being one of the most important parts of the HUD.

Note that this UI was already featured in the GTA 6 leaks, and many thought the team would change it in time for the Netflix showcase.

Of course, Rockstar could still update the UI ahead of the full release, but fans aren’t too happy with this part of the game so far.
