Modern Warfare 4’s ongoing beta doesn’t appear to be the most enjoyable for fans thus far, but one thing everyone is united on is that the game is a visual treat.
This also means that it can be quite demanding on PC, so some have lowered the settings to ensure Modern Warfare 4 runs as smoothly as possible. However, this has introduced a bug that has led to a brand new Call of Duty meme.

Soon after the character’s picture was shared online, Captain Price’s strange new look became one of Modern Warfare 4’s viral talking points.
Many have made fun of Captain Price’s odd-looking haircut, calling him out for seemingly being unable to afford a proper barber. Some say that the character is going through a midlife crisis due to inflation.
Others have even given him nicknames as part of this meme, dubbing the veteran “Lieutenant Cost,” “Captain Value,” and more. Even Barry Sloane, the official Captain Price voice actor, joined the fun, dubbing his own character John Halfprice following the meme.
Infinity Ward also acknowledged this issue after images of Captain Price’s hairline spread across social media. The studio says that the character’s appearance will be updated, noting that this isn’t the intended look.
Of course, Captain Price looks very different and matches his older look when the game is running properly.
