- Recently, AOC increased the prices of its monitors due to globally inflated prices.
- Now KTC has warned that its gaming monitor prices could soon shoot up as well.
- Gaming monitors were the only inexpensive item, but that could change soon too.
Every major PC component is at its highest price point in years due to the massive ongoing memory crisis. While this was happening, the only thing that seemed to have come down in price was monitors, but that’s about to change too.
Following AOC’s price hikes, a major Chinese manufacturer has also warned that gaming monitors could soon see price increases. They are currently trying to negotiate with their suppliers to manage supply, but things are grim.
Why it matters: The memory crisis is indirectly affecting a lot of other tech industries, which is leading to massive spikes in prices, and this time our computer screens could be the next in line for absurdly high prices.

For those unaware, KTC, mostly known for budget offerings, is a major Chinese manufacturer. The company has announced that due to an increase in the prices of core components, their production has become more expensive.
They have warned that their monitor lineup might see a price increase in the future, although they are talking to suppliers for a resolution. However, they suggest that now is an excellent time to buy monitors at a great value.

Displays were the only thing that had come down in price considerably in the last few years. You could even get cheap OLED monitors and high refresh panels for under $100, but that could change really soon too.
