Sounds Like A Must Play For Bloodborne Fans!

Story Highlight
  • Wuchang: Fallen Feathers has been praised in previews yet again.
  • The game is said to feature horror elements similar to FromSoftware’s Bloodborne.
  • These elements include an uncanny atmosphere and gruesomeness that is not typically seen in the genre.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is shaping up to be the most anticipated Souls-like of the year. The game officially arrives next month, and past previews have given fans more than a few reasons to be excited.

This Souls-like has also received additional previews ahead of its release, and to nobody’s surprise, FromSoftware’s influence is strong in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. In fact, the latest preview states that the title takes a few cues from Bloodborne.

Why it matters: Bloodborne remains one of the most distinct FromSoftware releases due to its Gothic and Lovecraftian horror, making it a fan-favorite.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Launches In July

According to a new preview, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers feels like a FromSoftware game made right after Bloodborne.

The preview notes that the world is filled with macabre gruesomeness that will instantly remind players of FromSoftware’s forgotten title, something that most releases in this genre typically ignore.

In fact, the preview even stated that Wuchang: Fallen Feathers feels like a full horror game at times. Interestingly, 2023’s Lies of P presented similar themes and elements in its world and was met with plenty of praise.

As such, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers taking a somewhat similar approach could ultimately work in favor of the game.

Elsewhere, the preview praised the combat and overall feel of the gameplay. Wuchang: Fallen Fathers has a lot of potential after recent successes like Black Myth: Wukong and Lies of P, and all the previews have only added to the excitement surrounding this release.
