Things haven’t looked that great for Xbox for the past few years, especially in terms of hardware. However, the company has emerged as an excellent publisher, especially with some of its recent releases, and it provides great value with Game Pass.
Fans are praising Xbox for providing the best value in the market with Game Pass in 2025. Recent releases have solidified the subscription as the best among its competitors.
Why it matters: With most AAA Xbox releases launching day one on Game Pass and other notable titles already present, the service has been excellent for gamers.
Just 4 months into 2025, and Game Pass has already delivered some great titles. These include:
- Ninja Gaiden 2 Black
- Atomfall
- Avowed
- Sniper Elite: Resistance
- The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered
- Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Many other games have already been announced for 2025. These include Doom: The Dark Ages, The Outer Worlds, Ninja Gaiden 4, and more. It also added other hits, such as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Diablo, and more, to the catalog.
For context, a Game Pass Ultimate subscription costs $ 14.99 per month. If you purchase the yearly plan, you will pay approximately $240. Modern AAA titles typically cost $70, so considering the number of AAA titles included with the service, it’s an excellent deal.
If we compare it to PSN, the Xbox service has come out on top, as the former has had a very underwhelming catalog this year. It also recently set a new quarterly revenue record, marking a 30% increase in subscriptions.
