While recent reports have suggested that Switch 2 has already entered mass production, fans are still waiting for an official announcement from Nintendo, but sadly, one hasn’t been made yet.

Although an announcement is inevitable and could be made anytime soon, a credible YouTuber has stated that Switch will get multiple remasters from third-party developers in 2025 for the players who stick to the console.

Why it matters: This would allow the Switch to live a few more years even after the release of its successor, as many players would get to play the latest titles on a seven-year-old handheld.

The latest video from tvPH, who previously correctly leaked some of the information, discusses how Nintendo plans to release multiple remasters next year on Switch.

According to him, Nintendo plans to release a GameCube and a Nintendo 3DS game remaster on the handheld next year. 

Ubisoft is among the third-party publishers that could release titles like Splinter Cell Blacklist, Rayman 3, and lastly, the first two titles in the Driver series. Other publishers include EA and Bandai Namco.

It’s great to see that Nintendo has plans to feed those players who will continue to use their console and still get new titles to play.

Nonetheless, while much information has already been released on the Switch 2, confirming it will support all UE5 features and be available in early 2025, an official announcement is likely to be made before the end of the year.
