AMD Completely Dominating The Top 10 Best-Selling CPUs On Amazon

The Highest-Selling Intel Chip Comes in At #13!

Story Highlight
  • Out of the top 10 best-selling CPUs on Amazon, all are AMD Ryzen chips.
  • Intel’s highest-seller is the i7-14700K, which comes in at number 13 on the list.
  • Intel recently came under fire for its high-end chips, which offer very unstable performance.

AMD has emerged as a solid contender especially when it comes to CPUs. While its dominance has been there for a lot of years, this time it has managed to completely obliterate Intel in terms of processor sales.

For context, all of Amazon’s top 10 best-selling CPUs are AMD. At number 13 is Intel, with its Core i7-14700K processor.

Why it matters: AMD has the best bang for the buck offerings. Additionally, their CPU performance has been stable compared to Intel’s. Therefore, we see AMD dominating the best-selling chart.

Amazon’s top 10 best-selling CPUs are all AMD.

Leading the best-sellers list is the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X. While it is a last-gen chip, the performance that it offers at $170 is unmatched. Ryzen 5 5600X is also a very popular chip among the masses, again because of its good performance at an affordable price.

Interestingly, most of the top-selling chips are last-gen indicating how popular AMD’s Zen3 chips still are. Their 3D lineup of chips including the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and Ryzen 7 5700X3D, are also very popular as they are some of the best gaming chips on the market.

AMD is dominating the market that was once led by Intel CPUs

The market that was once dominated by Intel has seen a real decline in its sales. The highest Intel on the list is with its 14th-generation i7 chip. Notably, their budget offerings are very low on the list.

AMD’s new Ryzen 9000 chips are expected to distance the competition even more, especially after the recent fiasco with Intel’s new high-end chips, which saw them be highly unstable and result in various BSOD errors.

Nonetheless, this proves AMD has now a strong grip on the market especially when it comes to CPUs. The company has also significantly improved its software and drivers which used to be the biggest hassle before.
